So, I know I haven’t posted in awhile. But, I just thought I would update to let you know I have an excuse this time!
I am leaving tomorrow morning at….dun dun dun….5 AM! for Student Life Camp with the Elevate youth group at CBC! I am really pumped about camp this summer. I think it should be a great trip. We have 53 students and leaders going. And there are a handful of junior and senior students that are stepping up as “student leaders” for the week. This means that they will be paired with an adult leader to help “co-teach” family groups! This is going to be a great experience for them as they grow and learn how to share and teach God’s word to their peers.
I love working with students. And one of the greatest things I enjoy, is watching a teenager deny the temptations of their youth…and pursue Jesus Christ. It is a HUGE challenge. And it is definitely anything but easy. But, I have experienced the joys and blessings that pursuing Jesus offers. And I want more than ANYTHING for the youth to grasp ahold of Christ’s love for them and never look back.
Did I mention, I love students?
